EOBRS: The Big Leap
In the making for many years, the announcement by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) was hardly a surprise. The coming mandate requiring most interstate motor carriers to begin using electronic onboard recorders (EOBRs) to track compliance with hours-of-service regulations is now moving toward a final rule, expected by July 2012. Enforcement is slated to begin three years later, in 2015.
